Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You will be met by a representative and transferred to your hotel or lodge in Arusha. The remainder of the day is free for you to rest, adjust to the environment, and enjoy the available amenities.

Day 2: Visit to Arusha National Park

After breakfast, spend the day in Arusha National Park. This area features several landscapes, including forests, volcanic terrain, and lakes. Animals that may be spotted include giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and colobus monkeys. You’ll stop for lunch at a quiet location inside the park, then continue your wildlife tour before returning to Arusha in the evening.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park

Leave Arusha in the morning and drive to Tarangire National Park. The park is well known for its elephant groups and large baobab trees. After checking in and having lunch, you’ll head out for an afternoon drive to view animals. Expect to see a variety of wildlife across the open plains and wooded areas. Return to your lodge in the evening.

Day 4: Second Day in Tarangire

Begin early with another drive through Tarangire. This morning outing gives a good chance to see animals active before the midday heat. Later, return to your lodge for a break and lunch. In the afternoon, visit a different part of the park to look for more animals. Relax at your lodge in the evening.

Day 5: Lake Manyara and Travel to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park. During your morning tour, you may spot lions in trees, elephants, hippos, flamingos, and many types of birds. In the afternoon, continue on to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your lodge for the night will be situated near the edge of the crater.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day tour. This large, enclosed area supports a range of habitats and is home to animals such as elephants, rhinos, lions, and buffaloes. A picnic lunch will be served in a designated area. After further exploration, return to the crater rim for the night.

Day 7: Travel to Central Serengeti

Depart after breakfast for Serengeti National Park. Travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands and enter the Serengeti through Naabi Hill Gate. You’ll arrive at your lodge or camp for lunch, followed by a wildlife drive in the central part of the park. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 8: Central Serengeti

Spend the day exploring central Serengeti with both morning and afternoon outings. This region is known for its range of animal life, including herds of grazers and a number of predators. Meals will be served at your accommodation.

Day 9: Northern Serengeti

Travel to the northern region of the Serengeti after breakfast, passing through scenic terrain and possibly seeing wildlife en route. This area is known for its rivers and for seasonal animal crossings. After lunch at your lodge, head out for an afternoon wildlife drive. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Morning Drive and Return to Arusha

After a final morning drive in northern Serengeti, return to the lodge for brunch. Then transfer to the airstrip for your return flight to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you may have time for shopping or a short visit in town before heading to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure.
