Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a representative will greet you and transfer you to Arusha. After checking into your hotel or lodge, enjoy a quiet evening and a meal at the property. This first night offers time to rest before the days ahead.
Day 2: Arusha National Park Tour
After breakfast, take a private tour of Arusha National Park. This area features several types of landscapes including woodlands, lakes, and volcanic hills. Animals often seen here include giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and colobus monkeys. A midday meal will be served at a quiet location inside the park. Return to your accommodation in the evening.
Day 3: Travel to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, leave Arusha and travel to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge or tented camp, followed by lunch. In the afternoon, head out for a wildlife drive. This park is recognized for elephants, lions, and many bird species, as well as its distinct baobab trees. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
Day 4: Wildlife Viewing in Tarangire
Spend the day exploring more of Tarangire. Begin with a morning drive along the river or through wooded areas where animals often gather. Return to your lodge for a mid-day break and lunch. In the afternoon, continue your tour of different parts of the park. Meals and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Journey to Serengeti National Park
Depart Tarangire after breakfast and drive toward Serengeti. Upon reaching the park, check into your next lodge or camp, where lunch will be served. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in Serengeti. Keep watch for various grazing animals and predators as your guide takes you through the region. Return to the lodge in the evening.
Day 6: Balloon Ride and Community Visit
Start the day with a morning balloon flight over the Serengeti, followed by an outdoor breakfast served in a peaceful location. Later, visit a nearby Maasai community, where you’ll speak with residents and learn about their way of life through conversation and group activities. After lunch, the rest of the afternoon is free for you to relax at the lodge. Dinner will be served in the evening.
Day 7: Return to Arusha and Departure
Following breakfast, take a short wildlife drive on the way to the Serengeti airstrip. You’ll then fly back to Arusha. Depending on your schedule, you may have time for a short break or optional city visit before being transferred to the airport for your flight home.
